We've had a break from recording for a week, which we all definitely needed. The songs sound a million times fresher when you've given your ears a rest.
So the plan now is that we go back into the studio at the end of june to finish a few of the tracks and to stick another few down. Then we'll make the cut to the 10 tracks that'll be on the album.
If you want to see some of the pictures from our last session there'll all in our gallery here
Hope you're doing good and enjoying the sunshine. We've got 2 top gigs coming up in London we wanted to let you know about.
::: ALBUM CELEBRATION PARTY :::
We've spent the last 2 weeks holed up in a recording studio in North London recording our debut album. Its sounding amazing.
So to celebrate on June 12th, we'll be playing all the tracks from the album at Club FleeingNew York at The old Blue Last.
Come and join us for a sneak preview of what'll be on our debut. Tickets are only a fiver, just click the banner below:
::: BROCKLEY MAX FESTIVAL :::
We're bringing the week-long Brockley Max festival to a close this Saturday by headlining B Max'd Out - a live open air music event at Hilly Fields. There'll even be a big fireworks display when we're finished.
Michael Fish says it'll be sunny. He's never got it wrong before. It's all happening in South East London. You can find out more at brockleymax.co.uk
See you soon

5 days in at Fishmarket with James Lewis and the tracks are sounding great. The studio's mive, layed out a bit like Abbey Road 2 - big live room and a control room upstairs.
There's loads of great sounding vintage gear around the place that we've borrowed and been turning up loud to get sounds from. Feel like kids in a toy shop. Overdubs start today, mainly for Gaz. Vocals tomorrow and the rest of the week.
It's hot. We've picked the hottest days of the year so far to record on the week the studio's air conditiong's packed in. Control room's a sweatbox.
Can't wait to get it finished. Here are a few shots of the studio, we'll also have some video for you soon too
Listen to See What You Get on the new Groove Armada album Soundboy Rock.
The synth line is played by Ed, who Groove Armada got in touch with for some help with the track. Hopefully the first collaberation of many.
We're involved in a cool festival which is going on this bank holiday weekend in South London - Deptford, Lewisham, New X.
We'll be playing a rooftop gig on top of the Deptford Music Centre on Saturday evening - on at 6PM.
There are loads of great bands and Dj's playing from 1pm - 6am - see the flyer below for full details. You can pick up a wristband for the full festival for £10 - or if you just want to come and see us you can get on the roof for £2 - there'll be booze and hopefully a BBQ as well...so add some sunshine and it should be a cracking day.
Go to www.myspace.com/newcrossinn for all the details
We're coming up to Scotland for the first time for a free secret gig in Glasgow next Tuesday. To get tickets all you have to do is register at anewmovement.com. Come and have some drinks with us after the show.
We'll see you there

Fresh from the cutting room, here's a behind-the-scenes look at how we shot the video for I Want A Better Life. Watch for Ed playing drums badly and b guitar stealing tips from John. Thanks to Luke McCarthy and his crew for everything.
Wanted to say thanks to everyone who bought the single and to the 280 of you who came to the single launch at Madame JoJos and raised the roof. Also cheers to everyone who came to see us play all over the UK from Leeds to Brighton, Bristol, Oxford, Manchester and more.
Thanks Popworld, Disorder, Glwerk, fanzines like Screaming Tarts and all the websites, papers and magazines who thought we were important enough to write about.
And also to the bloggers, podcasters and radio the stations up and down the country who played us, gave us a shout or had us in for sessions.
